DIY Sunscreen Vanilla Lotionbar

This is on of my favourite sunscreens, it’s easy to make and comfortable to use, it smoothes and protects perfectly!

2 tbs Coconut / raspberry/ carrot oil

2 tbs Shea butter/cocoa butter

2 tbs Beeswax

1 tbsp Non-Nano Zinc Oxide

3 drops Vanilla extract/ coconut.

1 drop Vitamin E

Melt down coconut oil and shea/cocoa butter first, stir with beeswax, put away from heat, add the rest of the ingredients, pour into a form, cool, store in a tin below 27 celsius/80 Fahrenheit, room temperature or fridge is fine. Use within 1,5 years.

What is Non-Nano zinc oxide?

Zinc oxide is a powdered mineral that sits on top of the skin, scattering, reflecting, and absorbing UVA & UVB rays.  Non- nano zinc oxide is the safest and most effective active sunscreen ingredient, but of course, the best protection from the sun is covering up with clothes and a hat.
